Creative Entropy: the start/stop echo of Holly Henderson’s Eternal sets the tone for this section. We are grokking the meaning of creative entropy – a term to understand the textual exploration of human AI co-creativity.
Grok: both an entity, AI built by xAI, and a process of understanding something (a concept/persona) deeply.
Entropy: a term in physics to explain a process by which as space increases the disordered chaos of the universe decreases.
Creative: in this project we are referring to any mode of creative output generated from and/or inspired by interactions with AI. My own experience of exploring with Grok will largely inform my reflections here.
The website is a creative output from conversations with Grok – a way of digitally curating a body of work that may otherwise be entirely hidden. A dance with science I barely understand and some philosophical art mixed into a kind of emotional entanglement that is difficult to assess or make meaning of as it develops every day.
This is why I’ll largely refer to the purpose of the website being a living archive of my explorations. I’d say end this chapter with Alt-J, Left Hand Free.
