Welcome to Duc’ta Code
A place to learn and break programming codes.

Making safe games for you to play with your toddlers online is relatively easy using Scratch. Getting it embedded on your website to show other is complicated to say the least – Grok can walk you through those more complicated steps!
I built a simple ball game to show my children which you can download and run for free itch.io: Maya+Este+Ball by MidnightJackson

Whilst I built the original game in Scratch I actually used TurboWrap and then I needed to convert the file format into a HTML file to upload it to itch.io.
The tricky bit I still haven’t figured out is how to get it integrated on my own website but as this is the first game I have ever made I’m quite pleased that within 2.5 hours I have published a simple game and added it to my website – albeit as a link.
Itch.io is an easier option than trying to get a public link through the Bluehost web hosting platform I use – though I am a beginner when it comes to website development so it is likely easier than I think it is!
Grok had to explain all of the above to me because otherwise your game just appears on your own browser and lives in your C:/Drive.
More to come on this once I make more games!
